In the 16th century, the castle passed to the Capponi family, who transformed it into a country villa, adding frescoes and architectural details that enhance its elegance. Today, the estate extends over 309 hectares, of which 22 are dedicated to viticulture, producing approximately 900 hectoliters of Chianti Classico DOCG and IGT wines annually. The grape varieties grown include Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, Trebbiano and Malvasia.
