Ribeca is the result of a long recovery effort of the Perricone grape variety, an ancient Sicilian variety, of which Firriato has selected a specific clone. The company has recognized the potential of this traditional grape variety, cultivating it on the Pianoro Cuddìa estate. In this area, characterized by very dry and windy soil and climate conditions, Perricone has found the ideal environment to best express its character. The clone selected by Firriato reflects the peculiarities of this grape variety, once widely cultivated but now almost extinct. The variety stands out for its remarkable elegance, while the Pianoro Cuddìa microclimate enhances the aromatic complexity of the grapes and the concentration of intense but refined aromas.
