Barbaresco Serragrilli DOCG from Azienda Agricola Lequio GR is a refined expression of 100% Nebbiolo, grown in the renowned “Sorì Serragrilli” cru in Neive, in the Barbaresco area, Langhe. Produced from vineyards that extend over 15 hectares, with a yield of 40 quintals per hectare, this red wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature, followed by aging in new Allier oak barriques for 18 months and a further three years in large French oak barrels. The result is a garnet red wine, elegant and complex, with fruity hints of cassis and blackberry, spices such as pepper and hints of jam. In the mouth it is warm, soft, with fine tannins and a long persistence. Ideal with game, red meats and mature cheeses, it best expresses its richness when served at 18°C and with a prolonged aging period, which enhances its structure and depth.
