Barbera d'Alba Superiore - 2017 - Fontanabianca
Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore comes from Neive, Piedmont, in a temperate climate and on medium-textured calcareous soil at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level. The vines, with an average age of 30 years, are grown with the Guyot training system and produce a yield of 70-75 quintals per hectare. The vinification is traditional, with aging in large and small barrels for 9-12 months, followed by further aging in the bottle for 4-6 months. On the nose it presents aromas of peach, plum and cherry, while on the palate it stands out for its rich minerality and good acidity.
