A traditional, family-run production with a history of over 120 years in Lannepax, in the Bas-Armagnac region. In 1998, with no heirs, the Legrand family sold their house to Cognac Lhéraud, which has kept its characteristics alive. A perfect mix of tradition and modernity, the aging cellars have remained unchanged over time, as have the approximately 20 hectares of vineyard. All Bas-Armagnac Gaston Legrand are distilled only once and two stills specifically produced at the beginning of the twentieth century are used for distillation. Bas Armagnac Baron Gaston Legrand 1991. The resulting spirit is placed in new black oak barrels. Characteristics: Vanilla nose. Discreet and delicate wood, but present. Notes of dried apricot, citrus. Flexible attack, then aromatic explosion: spices, dried fruit, licorice, vanilla.
