The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2017 Carpineto, obtained from a generally critical year, however comes out well from the glass test, offering aromas characterized by the sweetness of raspberry, hints of ripe cherry, and spicy touches to finish. In the mouth, the sip is clean, dense and pulpy, with tight tannins and a pleasantly crunchy finish, still on fruity and spicy returns. Its vineyard area extends over 11 hectares, of which 3.5 are Brunello, and is cultivated at high altitude (on average 500 meters above sea level), in an area that closely watches Montalcino from the west. The Carpineto company was founded in 1967 by Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo and today boasts several properties: in Dudda (Greve in Chianti), in Gaville (Alto Valdarno), in Gavorrano in Maremma and in Montepulciano, for a total of over 500 hectares of vineyards and a production of 3,000,000 bottles.
