The 2023 harvest of this Dolcetto d'Alba is the result of a perfect balance between challenging weather conditions and winemaking mastery. After a warm and dry start to the season, heavy rains hit the Langhe in May, followed by a mild summer with occasional thunderstorms. These conditions reduced the yield, but preserved the quality of the grapes, which were harvested in mid-September. Fermentation lasted six days at 27-28°C, followed by malolactic fermentation and six months of aging before bottling. The result is "Mosesco," a ruby red wine with purple highlights, with a vinous bouquet and fresh hints of cherry, black cherry and flowers. On the palate it is full, balanced and fresh, with an almondy finish that reflects the sandy-clay terroir of Miocene origin.
