Furba Gravels - 2000 - Capezzana Estate
Ghiaie della Furba di Capezzana is a prestigious wine born from the fervent passion of Ugo and Vittorio Contini Bonacossi. By integrating Syrah with the original varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, an intense aromatic complexity is obtained. The grapes are harvested from old vineyards, grown on clay schist soils, and the winemaking process includes a maturation period of 18 months in barrique, followed by a further 12 months in the bottle. Ghiaie della Furba is characterized by a deep ruby red color and a broad, sophisticated and elegant bouquet. In the mouth, the wine stands out for its softness, a robust structure, dense and enveloping tannins, and a persistent and prolonged aftertaste.
