Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise is a French sweet wine produced in the southern Rhône Valley region of southeastern France. This controlled designation of origin (AOC) is known for its sweet wines, predominantly made from the Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains grapes. The Beaumes-de-Venise area, located at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail hills, enjoys a Mediterranean climate with strong temperature variations. These conditions favor the production of ripe and aromatic grapes, ideal for production of sweet wines. Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise is characterized by intense aromas of flowers, apricot and citrus, with a sweetness well balanced by acidity. It often presents itself as a fresh and aromatic wine, ideal as an aperitif or accompaniment to desserts, blue cheeses and pastries. The region is renowned for its tradition of producing high-quality sweet wines.
