Dogliani docg San Luigi is an organic wine produced exclusively with Dolcetto, from the San Luigi cru in the municipality of Dogliani. With a production of around 30,000 bottles, this wine stands out for its natural winemaking process: harvest and alcoholic fermentation in September, followed by a year of aging without filtration. The color is intense and purple, while the nose reveals fruity notes of cherry and red fruits. On the palate, it reveals good acidity and gentle tannins. The terroir of San Luigi, with fertile clay soils with a reddish color, gives pleasantness and immediacy to the aromas of the wine. Dolcetto, a historic variety mentioned as early as 1593, is linked to local tradition and regulations, such as the harvest after September 21, guaranteeing an authentic product rooted in the territory.
