One of Capichera's great challenges was to be the first to vinify Vermentino in barriques. After fermentation and aging, VT is marketed no earlier than two years after the harvest, allowing it to express a strong, unmistakable and profound character, so much so that it is considered the most representative wine of Capichera's high quality. It has a straw yellow color, slightly golden and clear. On the nose it is intense and complex, with notes of orange blossom, lemon, aromatic herbs, wisteria, lavender flowers, licorice and citrus honey. On the palate it is dry, but lively and warm, rich and pulpy, with citrus and honeyed tones. The finish is long and caressing, with great aftertaste persistence.
