In the local dialect, Burdisi or Burdese means Bordeaux, referring to the classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It is a red wine of great density, structure and balance, produced in limited quantities from selected vineyards. Burdese is a wine intended for long aging, with an olfactory and gustatory complexity that has few equals in Sicily. This Bordeaux made in Sicily comes from a selection of the best grapes from the company's vineyards. It is a powerful red, characterized by a dense and important tannic texture, balanced by a notable alcohol content. The gustatory strength is concentrated on a very dense and pulpy ripe fruitiness. The flavors include blueberries and black cherries in alcohol, which mix with notes of leather, while intense aromas of cherries, cocoa, iodine and rosemary gradually emerge.
