Chianti Classico - 2021 - Selvolini Estates
Tenute Selvolini is a small family business. Since 1600, the Selvolinis, the only original family still present, have carried out all the commercial activities of the village of Volpaia and today they own a good part of it, including an agritourism facility called "Casa Selvolini". Alessandro, after studying Viticulture and Oenology, decided to relaunch the family winemaking business, honoring his mother's surname, setting up a cellar in the center of Volpaia, in the building that in 1400 was the Ospitaletto of the Knights of Malta. Until 2019, the company dealt exclusively with delivering grapes. Today it boasts more than 10 hectares of vineyards and 4 hectares of olive groves, distributed on various plots in the municipalities of Radda and Gaiole in Chianti.
