Founded in 1904 in the council chamber of Serralunga in the presence of Notary Giacomo Oddero and the young Alfredo Prunotto, the Cantina Sociale "Ai Vini delle Langhe" marks the beginning of a winemaking history destined to leave a mark on the Langhe. The first harvest took place in 1905, but the winery faced difficult years, between the economic crisis and the First World War, until 1922, when many members chose to no longer deliver the grapes. Prunotto, together with his wife Luigina, took over the winery, renaming it with his own name and transforming it into a pioneering company in the export of Barolo and Barbaresco. In 1956, Prunotto sold the business to Beppe Colla, an oenologist, who introduced the idea of vinifying the Crus separately, such as Barolo Bussia and Barbera Pian Romualdo. In 1989, the Antinori family began to collaborate with the company, taking over its management in 1994 and maintaining its qualitative excellence. Led by Albiera Antinori, the winery enriched its heritage with the vineyards of Bussia, Costamiòle and new experiments with varieties such as Albarossa and Syrah, consolidating its identity and commitment to the authenticity of the Langhe terroir.
