The Barolo Riserva DOCG "Ghé" comes from the Cerretta area, in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, an area particularly suited to the production of great Barolos. The vines are grown on a 3,500 m² spur of land completely exposed to the south, where a Nebbiolo clone, the michet, was planted, known for its low yield but for its ability to give wines of extraordinary complexity and structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for about 30 months in 400-liter French oak barrels, and then rests in the bottle for at least 30 months before being released on the market as a Riserva. This Barolo is an aristocratic, complex and well-structured wine, characterized by an aromatic bouquet rich in spices, leather, tobacco, with delicate notes of roses and violets. On the palate, it is velvety, dry, powerful and persistent. Production is extremely limited, with only 800-1,000 bottles, packaged in wooden boxes, making this Barolo a true collectible gem.
