Chianti Classico - 2021 - Querceto Castle
Castello di Querceto is a Tuscan estate near Greve on the northeastern edge of the Chianti Classico region. It is best known for its classic-style reds from the Chianti Classico DOCG, but it also produces a wider range of wines, mostly from Sangiovese (occasionally alongside Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon). The nose of this Chianti Classico is fragrant and is marked by an intense fruit base, with hints of undergrowth and smoky notes completing the circle. On the palate, the wine has a continuous and juicy sip, with the tannic texture and acidity well blended to give impetus and dynamism to its development, up to a compact and tasty finish.
