Chianti Classico Grand Selection - 2018 - Lornano
Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG is a 100% Sangiovese wine from new vineyards at 300 meters above sea level with mixed soils of stratified sand and limestone. The selected grapes, harvested between September and October, are vinified in stainless steel with maceration for 25-30 days at 26°C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 30 months in new French oak barriques and a further 6 months in the bottle. It has a light ruby red color, a complex bouquet with spicy notes, tobacco and ripe wild berries. On the palate it is soft, fresh, with harmonious tannins and a pleasant persistence.
