Sergio Manetti, not considering the vintage and wine suitable, decides to put his own face on it, calling it by his own name, effectively downgrading the Pergole of this vintage.
After a while of working in the glass, I approach Martino exclaiming: “I wonder if the vintage had been good”… it seems like a great Burgundy. Don’t expect an olfactory explosion. It is cautious, silent, but all this does not worry. It presents itself with that very elegant smoky touch, blond tobacco and morello cherry, tea leaves, dried herbs, bitter orange. It is light on the entry, almost sweet in its movements, ephebic tannin, it manages to progress in a linear way, opening up on the finish, as the French would say, a queue de paon. Give me some more.
