La Demoiselle de Sociando Mallet - 2013 - Jean Gautrau
Château Sociando-Mallet is a wine estate located in the northern Médoc (the wines are bottled under the Haut-Médoc appellation), and generally regarded as the equal of many classified growths. The estate has a reputation for producing full-bodied, classically structured wines with firm tannins and great aging potential from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet is produced from the youngest vines on the estate and from plots whose soil is most conducive to producing great Merlot. This varietal represents half of the final blend for this wine. The vines for our Demoiselle cover approximately twenty hectares and are given the same care and attention as the rest of the vineyard throughout the year. Immediate pleasure, finesse, freshness and digestibility. A sensation of elegance with very light and fine tannins. It is love at first sight.
