Domaine de la Mordorée produces some of the greatest wines of the Rhone Valley: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Tavel. The philosophy has always been to produce the best wines possible. To do this, the best soils have been selected and cultivation methods have been adopted that truly respect the environment. The winemaking and ageing of the wines combine tradition and modernity. The goal was simple: to produce the best wine in each of the appellations while respecting nature and people. Passionate and in love with the wonderful bird that is the woodcock, they chose its “poetic” nickname to christen the domain “La Mordorée”; two other nicknames: La Dame Rousse and La Reine des Bois symbolize the names of their two cuvées.
