"Szt. Tamas" Aszú 6 Puttonyos - 1995 - Royal Tokaji
The Szt. Tamás vineyard, also known as Santo Tä-määsh, is located north of Royal Tokaji's Nyulászó vineyard, on south, southwest and southeast facing slopes, at an elevation of approximately 750 feet, with a panoramic view of the estate's cellars. Dedicated to the apostle St. Thomas, this vineyard features a red volcanic clay soil enriched with iron oxide, which effectively retains moisture, an advantage during dry seasons. The wines produced with grapes from the vineyard Szt. Tamás are distinguished by their pure fruit character, balanced acidity and remarkable longevity. The 1995 Royal Tokaji Szt. Tamás is a light golden colored wine, with light notes of orange peel and a medium-bodied palate. It presents as an exceptional wine and potentially one of the best of its vintage.
