Fontalloro was first produced in 1983. Fèlsina is a region characterized by its diverse climate, landscape, and soil. Its varied vineyards are distinguished by distinct soils and microclimates, each unique in its own way. From this extraordinary diversity comes Sangiovese di Fèlsina, or Sangioveto, a Tuscan word that identifies its origin. The vineyards that supply the grapes for Fontalloro are located in the Chianti Classico region, in the upper part of Fèlsina and within the Chianti Colli Senesi appellation. They are characterized by diverse soils: those of Chianti Classico are rocky, calcareous, and clayey; those bordering the Crete Senesi are rich in sand, silt, small pebbles, and marine sediments.

Made from Sangiovese grapes. Aged for approximately 18 months in barrique. A superb wine. The color remains incredibly vibrant and intense, with ruby-garnet hues. Intense and youthful aromas, with distinct notes of black cherry and currant, followed by hints of spice and tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, very well-structured, with velvety tannins and a warm, lingering finish.
