Wine is an integral part of France's heritage. France is one of the great wine-producing nations, having influenced the sector for centuries and still playing a strategic role in exports, thanks to its prestigious terroirs. In our store, we've selected the finest products from France's most important red wine regions: Burgundy and Bordeaux.

Bordeaux owes its success to its unique climate, its grapes, and the tireless work of its winemakers. It is undoubtedly the region that produces the most expensive wines in the world, reds from French varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, which make up the famous "Bordeaux blend." The official classification of Bordeaux wines dates back to 1855 and has remained valid ever since. The wines are ranked in order of importance from first to fifth cru, and the only change was in 1973, when Château Mouton Rothschild was elevated to Premier Cru (the others are Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Latour, Château Margaux, and Château Haut-Brion). The Burgundy wine classification system follows different criteria and is divided into distinct categories, closely tied to individual vineyards, starting with Grand Cru and Premier Cru and continuing downward. The local grape varieties are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, distributed according to the most suitable terroirs.
