Tenuta Masi’s Amarone della Valpolicella is a historic wine of great prestige, an authentic expression of the Veronese winemaking tradition and the ancient technique of grape drying. Produced at a time when winemaking was still largely artisanal, it is one of the classic Amarones that have contributed to Valpolicella’s international reputation.

Deep garnet in color with amber highlights resulting from extended aging, it offers a complex, mature bouquet with hints of cherries preserved in alcohol, prunes, figs, tobacco, leather, cocoa, sweet spices, and subtle balsamic notes. On the palate, it is warm, rich, and velvety, with substantial structure, now-soft tannins, and a long finish characterized by dried fruit, spicy notes, and hints of fine oak.

Historic vintages of long-aged Amarone wines retain their balance and complexity even after many decades. Tenuta Masi bottles from this period are now particularly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of vintage wines, both for their historical value and for the allure of their exceptional aging.
