Passopisciaro ist ein Weinproduzent an den unteren Nordhängen des Ätna auf Sizilien, dessen Weinberge hauptsächlich Nerello Mascalese, die häufigste Rebsorte des Ätna, anbauen. Das einzigartige Terroir, geprägt von vulkanischen Böden und Höhenlagen bis zu 1000 Metern, begünstigt das Wachstum dieser Sorte. Passopisciaro, im Besitz des Winzers Andrea Franchetti, produziert auch Cesanese di Affile, Chardonnay und Petit Verdot. Das Unternehmen bietet Weine aus Einzellagen an, darunter einen Nerello Mascalese aus dem Bezirk Porcaria, dessen Reben auf 650 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel liegen. Nach der Ernte werden die Weine 18 Monate lang in Holzfässern ausgebaut.
