Cristal 2009 by Louis Roederer is an exceptional champagne, the fruit of a sunny and generous year that has given us grapes of extraordinary ripeness and intense and refined wines. Produced from a blend of Grands Crus from the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs, it combines 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, with 16% vinified in oak barrels and without malolactic fermentation. After 6 years of cellar ageing and 8 months after disgorgement, it has a dosage of 8 g/l. Golden yellow in colour with amber reflections and fine, lively bubbles, it opens on the nose with a bouquet of candied citrus fruits, apricots and acacia honey, enriched with notes of toasted hazelnuts and spices. On the palate it offers a silky and delicate texture, enriched by chalky freshness and lively energy. With its perfect balance and crystalline purity, it embodies a unique vital force and extraordinary elegance.
