Chateau du Paradis - 1964 - St Emilion
Château du Paradis is an 8-hectare single-plot Garden of Eden on a beautiful gravel hillside magically deposited by the swirling waters of the Dordogne River. This mix of gravel, clay and sand absorbs heat during the day and reflects it at night as the grapes ripen. This enhances the concentration, complexity and aromatic elegance of the wines. Vinification takes place in barrels and each plot is kept separate until the final blend is assembled. In their constant quest to innovate and care for their vines in the best possible way, the Bardet family relies on the expert advice of Hubert de Bouärd, winemaker at Chateau Angelus.
