Chianti Classico - 2021 - Lornano
Chianti Classico DOCG is composed of 100% Sangiovese grapes, coming from vineyards with a density of 5,000 plants per hectare, located at 300 meters above sea level and exposed to South-South/West. The vineyards use the spurred cordon system and grow on compact calcareous clay soils with alluvial skeleton. The grapes are harvested between October 3 and 19, destemmed and vinified with maceration on the skins for 15-18 days at 26°C. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine ages 12 months in French oak barrels and six months in the bottle. It has an intense ruby red color, notes of ripe red fruit, flowers, spices and a long and persistent finish.
