Cor Römigberg - 2003 - Alois Lageder
The striking, steep slope of the Römigberg estate, located near Lake Caldaro, reflects our ideal of a farm as a living, closed-cycle organism, where humans, animals and plants coexist in harmony. In this environment, cows graze freely among vines and olive trees. Since 1986, the plot called 'Cor' (Latin for heart) has been cultivated with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The Römigberg estate extends to the northwest of Lake Caldaro, with vineyards located on extremely steep, south-facing slopes at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level. The wine produced has a cherry red color and ruby red reflections. The bouquet is characterized by concentrated, fruity aromas of cherry and blackcurrant, with spicy and floral notes. The body is vigorous and elegant, rich in tannins, spicy and fresh, offering a complex and refined taste experience.
