The “La Castellina” farm originates from the Ancient Estates of the powerful Squarcialupi family, who settled in these territories in 1200. The red wines with the “Squarcialupi” denomination express the typicality of the Sangiovese grape, limiting the use of complementary varieties. The intense notes of berries, black pepper and licorice make this wine very pleasant, completed by the 18-month refinement in large barrels and barriques.
