Carlos Serres Gran Reserva is an elegant Rioja red wine composed of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo. The grapes come from a selection of the best vineyards of Finca El Estanque, a 60-hectare property located in the best areas of Haro, with vines of approximately 35 years of age. The harvest is done manually at the end of October. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, where the grapes macerate on the skins before fermenting for approximately 15 days at a maximum temperature of 32°C. After fermentation, the wine ages for 24 months in American and French oak barrels, followed by a further 36 months in the bottle. The result is a bright red with complex aromas of ripe black fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and a deep mineral core. Its velvety texture and fresh finish make it perfect to pair with roast meats, foie gras, game and mature cheeses.
