St Amour - 1985 - Jean Patissier
That Saint-Amour is the northernmost of the 10 Beaujolais Crus is no small feat. In terms of soil content, there is little to distinguish it from Maçon in southern Burgundy. The famous Burgundy limestone continues beyond the administrative border between the two wine regions, and gives Saint-Amour the ability to produce both white and red wines.
