Das Weingut Bersano wurde Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts von Giuseppe Bersano gegründet. Es ist ein Familienweingut, wie fast alle Produzenten dieser Zeit, und die Weine werden regional verkauft. Von Anfang an wurde der Erwerb von Weinbergen angestrebt, die traditionell um den Reifekeller in Nizza Monferrato angesiedelt waren, wobei Barbera d'Asti die Ausgangsrebsorte war. Eine Rebsorte, die die gesamte Entwicklung der Geschichte des Hauses prägen wird. Sehr bald führte derselbe Wachstumswunsch das Haus dazu, Weinberge in der Langa, in den Gebieten von Barolo und Barbaresco, zu erwerben. In einigen Jahren, in denen die Produktion besonders gut ist, können einige Unternehmen beschließen, Barolo Riserva zu produzieren, die besondere Anforderungen erfüllen müssen, von denen eine die Lagerung in den Kellern ist, die mindestens 5 Jahre betragen muss, bevor sie verkostet werden kann.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
