Der Jahrgang 1998 gilt für Sandrone als einer der klassischen Jahrgänge der 90er Jahre für diese Lage: ein seltenes Gleichgewicht zwischen Frucht, Struktur, Eleganz und Entwicklungspotenzial. Im Glas präsentiert er sich mit einem tiefen Rubinrot, das zu Granat tendiert, ein Zeichen der Entwicklung, aber nach über 25 Jahren immer noch lebendig und leuchtend. Cannubi Boschis 1998 ist kein Wein zum „einfach nur Trinken“. Er verdient es, dekantiert zu werden (1–2 Stunden), und Gerichte, die seine Struktur unterstützen, ohne sie zu überlagern: Schmorbraten, deftiges Wild, cremige Risottos mit Pilzen oder Trüffeln, gut gewürztes Roastbeef, gereifter, aber nicht zu intensiver Käse.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
