The Bellavista estates span the entire "Franciacorta" wine-growing region—nearly 200 hectares of land situated on Bellavista Hill, named for its location, as it is surrounded on one side by Lake Iseo and on the other by the Alps, and overlooks the entire Po Valley. Bellavista was founded in Franciacorta in 1977 out of entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti’s desire to transform a small local winery into a company that is now internationally recognized. From the vineyard to the wine, everything is entrusted to natural processes. Every decision is made within the limits dictated by the rhythms of nature and the history of the Franciacorta region. Respect for tradition is evident in the revival of a unique practice recognized worldwide as a rare expression of finesse, balance, and elegance. The use of traditional presses ensures gentle pressing of the grapes and a meticulous separation of the musts. In the spring, when the cuvées are created, Bellavista draws from an average of ninety selections, some of which are fermented in small oak barrels. Excellence is a daily goal that Bellavista pursues by applying the following principles: naturalness, consistent quality, and distinctive character. Every measure is aimed at preserving the distinctive character that is recognizable in every vintage, every bottle, and every glass.
