Der Boca DOC von Sergio Barbaglia entsteht auf mineralreichen Böden, wo der rosa Porphyr dominiert und dem Gaumen eine ausgeprägte Würze und Frische verleiht. Er ist eine Assemblage aus 70-90% Nebbiolo und 10-30% Vespolina und Uva Rara (Bonarda Novarese) allein oder zusammen. Die erste Disziplinarverordnung stammt aus dem Jahr 1969, eine der ersten in Italien, und sieht als Produktionsgebiet nur fünf Gemeinden vor: Boca, Maggiora, Cavallirio, Prato Sesia und Grignasco; in jenen Jahren umfasste die Weinanbaufläche der gesamten Denomination Hunderte von Hektar, heute sind es nur noch wenige Dutzend.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
