Er wird auf alten Hügeln aus Porphyr und Stein geboren, wo der Nebbiolo keine Muskeln, sondern Präzision sucht. Im Glas ist er nüchtern, fast streng zu Beginn, dann öffnet er sich langsam: kleine reife rote Früchte, feuchter Unterholz, Alpenkräuter, eine eisenhaltige Note, die an die Erde nach dem Regen erinnert. Es ist ein Rotwein, der keine sofortige Zustimmung sucht. Er verlangt Aufmerksamkeit, Zeit, vielleicht ein wichtiges Gericht dazu. Aber wenn man ihm diese zugesteht, gibt er Komplexität, Eleganz und ein seltenes Gefühl von Authentizität zurück. Perfekt zu gebratenem oder geschmortem Wild, Schmorbraten und Ragouts mit kräftigem Geschmack, gereiftem Käse, Bergschinken, Pilzen und Gerichten mit aromatischen Kräutern.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
