Der Brunello di Montalcino, der erste italienische Wein, der die kontrollierte und garantierte Ursprungsbezeichnung (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) erhielt, wird in der Provinz Siena, ausschließlich innerhalb der Gemeindegrenzen von Montalcino, aus den Trauben der Rebsorte Sangiovese, lokal "Brunello" genannt, hergestellt. In Montalcino wurde, wie im benachbarten Chianti, schon immer Wein angebaut. Der erste Brunello wurde 1888 geboren. Er ist ein Produkt von hoher Qualität mit Eigenschaften eines Weins für eine lange Reifung.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
