Der Brunello di Montalcino von Tenuta Le Macioche ist eine Kreation des Önologen Cotarella.

Der Wein wird aus reinen Sangiovese Grosso-Trauben gekeltert, die nach der Gärung im Keller 30 Monate in ovalen Fässern und anschließend 12 Monate in der Flasche reifen.

Von hellem Rubinrot, drückt er sich in der Nase mit einem Bouquet aus, das an rote Johannisbeere, Salbei, Leder und Muskatnuss erinnert. Der Schluck ist kräftig und elegant, mit einem anhaltenden Abgang.

Hervorragend zu gegrilltem und geschmortem rotem Fleisch, einschließlich Wild, sowie zu gereiftem Käse.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
