Dieser Wein, der nur in den besten Jahrgängen und ausschließlich aus Trauben der Weinberge von Pianrosso hergestellt wird, repräsentiert seit jeher in hervorragender Weise das Terroir und den Namen des Weinguts. Die Reifung erfolgte über einen längeren Zeitraum in Eichenfässern, gefolgt von einer weiteren Verfeinerung in der Flasche. Der Wein sollte eine Stunde vor dem Servieren geöffnet und bei 18 °C in einem bauchigen Kristallglas serviert werden. Die Flaschen sollten im Dunkeln, liegend, kühl und ohne Temperaturschwankungen gelagert werden.

Speiseempfehlung: Ideal zu gebratenem oder geschmortem Wild und zu ersten Gängen mit Soßen auf Basis desselben Fleisches. Auch hervorragend zu gereiftem Käse.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
