Das Weingut Tiezzi trägt den Namen seines Besitzers, Enzo Tiezzi, einem renommierten Agronomen und Önologen, der in der Region Montalcino sehr bekannt ist. Das Ende der 80er Jahre gegründete Unternehmen hat seine Ursprünge in dem Leben von Professor Riccardo Paccagnini, einem Familienvorfahren, der sich bereits seit 1870 intensiv für die Förderung und Vermarktung der Marke „Brunello“ einsetzte. Heute erstreckt sich das Weingut Tiezzi auf insgesamt etwa zehn Hektar, wovon etwas mehr als fünf Hektar mit Reben bepflanzt sind, und besteht aus drei separaten Betriebseinheiten. Hier werden die Sangiovese-Weinberge mit äußerster Sorgfalt und unter Anwendung spezieller agronomischer Techniken bewirtschaftet.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
