Der Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Carpineto repräsentiert die Spitze der Produktion. Hier reift der Wein mindestens 42 Monate in Eichenfässern unterschiedlicher Größe, gefolgt von einer Reifung im Keller bei natürlicher, konstanter und kontrollierter Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit. Die Farbe ist ein intensives Rubinrot, mit hoher Anthocyan-Konzentration und leichten Granat-Tönen. Der Duft ist intensiv und anhaltend, deutliche Anklänge von Waldfrüchten mit leichten Vanille-Nuancen, eine würzige Note im Abgang, die sich mit der Entwicklung noch verstärken wird. Im Mund bestätigt er die Fülle und Intensität, die einen Wein von großer Substanz beschreiben, der für eine lange Reifung bestimmt ist.

Ein so wichtiger Wein benötigt ein entsprechendes Gericht, wie es zu besonderen Anlässen zubereitet wird, zum Beispiel ein Bistecca alla Fiorentina.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
