Das Weingut Isole e Olena befindet sich in der Toskana in Barberino Val d'Elsa in der Provinz Florenz.

Es ist im Besitz der Familie De Marchi, wurde 1956 gegründet und kann als Vorreiter der Weinentwicklung in der Gemeinde bezeichnet werden.

Das Terroir unterscheidet sich von dem des Rests der Appellation: Die Böden bestehen aus Galestro, Ton und sind reich an Sandstein, während die Winde vom Meer das Klima etwas wärmer machen.

Dies führt dazu, dass die Weine von Isole e Olena einzigartige Produkte sind, wie ihr Chianti Classico und der Cepparello beweisen. I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
