Château Cantenac Brown wurde 1855 während der offiziellen Klassifizierung für die Weltausstellung in Paris als dritter Grand Cru Classé eingestuft.

Im Besitz der Familie Le Lous seit 2019, erstreckt sich der Weinberg auf 60 Hektar mit 65 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 30 % Merlot und 5 % Cabernet Franc, auf hervorragenden Kiesböden, die der Produktion großer Weine zuträglich sind. Die Weine reifen 16 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern, davon 60 % neue. Ein Zweitwein, der Brio de Cantenac Brown, wird ebenfalls produziert.

Das Weingut engagiert sich stark für den Umweltschutz und baut derzeit einen neuen umweltfreundlichen Weinkeller, der vollständig aus Lehm besteht. Er wird für die Ernte 2023 fertiggestellt sein.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
