Château Dauzac hat die Besonderheit und das Privileg, einen 49 Hektar großen Weinberg in einem einzigen Stück zu besitzen, der in den Appellationen Margaux (45 Hektar) und Haut-Médoc (4 Hektar) liegt. Geschützt vor den Meereswinden durch etwa 70 Hektar umliegende Wälder, wurzeln die Reben in einer ersten Kiesschicht und einem Untergrund aus Lehm und Kalkstein. Zwischen den Reihen werden 70 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 29 % Merlot und einige Petit Verdot-Pflanzen angebaut.

Die Ernte erfolgt von Hand, um die Integrität der Früchte so weit wie möglich zu respektieren. Jede Parzelle wird dann separat mit den schonendsten Extraktionen vinifiziert.

Im Glas präsentiert er sich in einer sehr intensiven Purpurfarbe und mit einem köstlichen Duft, der schwarze Beerenfrüchte und Gewürze vereint. Der Schluck ist dicht, vollmundig und besonders reichhaltig. Die Tannine werden einige Jahre brauchen, um weicher zu werden. Es ist definitiv ein hervorragender Wein zum Reifen.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
