Der Weinberg Château Duhart-Milon erstreckt sich fast in einem Block auf der Westseite von Château Lafite Rothschild, am Hang von Milon, der das Plateau der Carruades de Lafite überragt. Das Anwesen Château Duhart-Milon umfasst 76 Hektar Rebfläche. Die Böden bestehen aus feinem Kies, vermischt mit Windsand, auf einem tertiären Kalksteinuntergrund. Die 76 Hektar Rebfläche verteilen sich auf Cabernet Sauvignon (67 %) und Merlot (33 %). Das Durchschnittsalter der Weinberge beträgt 30 Jahre.
Die Verwaltung des Anwesens erfolgt seit 1962 durch ein einziges Team, das Château Lafite Rothschild und Château Duhart-Milon aufgrund der Nähe der beiden Anwesen betreut. Eric Kohler, technischer Direktor der Bordeaux Châteaux, wird von Christophe Congé, Önologe und Winzer, und Louis Caillard, Direktor des Weinbergs, unterstützt.
Die verwendeten Techniken sind bei den beiden Châteaux völlig identisch und bleiben traditionell. Sie umfassen eine strenge Kontrolle der Erträge, eine Handlese und viele das ganze Jahr über manuell ausgeführte Arbeiten.
