Es handelt sich um einen Premier Cru Classé de Sauternes gemäß der prestigeträchtigen Liste von 1855, die Kaiser Napoléon III. überreicht wurde.

Die Produktion beträgt je nach Jahrgang etwa 98.000 Flaschen, was einen sehr geringen, aber hochwertigen Ertrag von 2.300 Flaschen pro Hektar bedeutet.

Alle Trauben werden von Hand geerntet und anschließend im Weinberg und im Keller selektiert, um die Qualität der Beeren durch Kontrolle ihres Reifegrads zu optimieren.

Der Wein reift 18-23 Monate vor der Abfüllung in Eichenfässern, von denen 33 % neu sind.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
