Château Latour-Martillac ist ein wichtiges Weingut unter den Weinen von Pessac-Léognan und bewirtschaftet einen 54 Hektar großen Weinberg, davon 45 Hektar für Rotwein und 9 Hektar für Weißwein. Das Anwesen genießt eine außergewöhnliche Lage in der Appellation. Das Plateau von Martillac besteht aus einem Mosaik von Kiesen aus dem Quartär, bestehend aus Feuerstein, Quarz, Lydit und Jaspis. Diese Böden sind das ideale Terroir für Cabernet Sauvignon und Petit Verdot. Das andere Hauptterroir des Anwesens befindet sich in der Nähe des Flusses Garonne, wo wir Ton-Kalk- und kiesige Böden an der Oberfläche finden. Hier werden Merlot sowie die weißen Rebsorten des Anwesens mit Sauvignon Blanc und Sémillon angepflanzt.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
