Während sein großer Ruhm neueren Datums ist, gilt dies nicht für den Weinberg selbst. Jean-Louis und Bernard, die „Brüder Foucault“, repräsentieren die achte Generation dieses Familienbetriebs. Der Weinberg liegt in Chacé, zwischen Tours und Angers, und erstreckt sich über 10 Hektar in den Appellationen Saumur und Saumur Champigny. Die unvergleichliche Qualität der Weine des Guts ist größtenteils auf einen extrem sorgfältigen Weinbau zurückzuführen, der seit mindestens den 1960er Jahren nach den Prinzipien des biologischen Anbaus geführt wird.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
