Die Nase öffnet sich mit intensiven und tiefen Aromen von Schwarzkirsche, dunklen Waldfrüchten und Veilchen, gefolgt von würzigen Noten, Lakritze, Unterholz und leichten erdigen Nuancen, die seine Komplexität erhöhen. Am Gaumen ist er kraftvoll und konzentriert, mit einer dichten Materie und gut präsenten, aber fein integrierten Tanninen, unterstützt von einer ausgewogenen Frische, die typisch für den Jahrgang 2012 ist. Der Abgang ist lang, anhaltend und würzig, mit fruchtigen und würzigen Rückaromen. I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
